The movie 'American Beauty' deals with the somberness of searching for meaning and beauty in everyday life. Ricky, one of the main characters, collects hundreds of tapes of homemade video footage. I chose to create the opening title sequence from a voyeuristic perspective, as if shot by a home camera.
